What is Estate Italiana?
It’s days spent doing nothing except living under the sun. Resting without guilt, relaxing with total pleasure, and unknowingly replicating highlights of your childhood.
It’s shutters flung wide open. Sounds of waves hitting the beach, seagulls arguing above, and cicadas humming into your ears.
It’s scooters and vespas slaloming between traffic. Sheets drying in the streets, markets lining squares and parasols lining beaches.
It’s the bright blues of sea. The burning orange of sunsets. The greens of trees and the yellows of giant lemons.
It’s lunch at the beach, long and free, dressed in linens and no shoes. Olive oil dripping off bread, pasta falling off forks, and homemade gelato trickling off cones.
It’s naps on loungers and swims that break up the afternoon heat. All followed by the juice of a peach dripping from your chin.
It’s brushing the water as your hand hangs out of the boat. The salt staying on your skin until your evening shower.
It’s aperitifs by the piano with snacks you didn’t know you wanted. Spending time with family. Staring out to the sea or into the face of a loved one.

At the Miramare, we’re ambassadors of Estate Italiana, and the gateway to it.
Santa Margherita Ligure is the almost-hidden way to discover our beautiful country. A corner of a fairytale where time stops and little ducks cross the road. A Mediterranean oasis from which you can head to Portofino, the Cinque Terre and beyond.
This is our Estate Italiana and we want to share it with all.
Every day our aim is always the same: to give something of ourselves to you and touch a little piece of your heart and imagination (and your stomach with food and throat with a spritz!).
